Hello! My name is Alaina Greenlee, and I'm a junior at Iowa City West High School. This is my second year on the West Side Story staff as a videographer, and first year as the broadcast Video Editor. Ever since my freshman year, my passion for videography has been growing deeper every day. My journey of learning how to share people's stories in ways words never could, and aiding younger staffers in their own videography experience is something I never thought I would be able to do when I first joined. Today, I am so grateful that I have that opportunity. From profiles to sports highlights, I'm very excited to continue to expand my skills over the next year on WSS, and to potentially pursue a sports broadcasting career.
Outside of journalism, I play volleyball, participate in show choir and am a co-head of the theatre sound crew. I hope to finish my junior year strong, and go to a rigorous university in the West.
